hot books

This week I would recommend you to read a book I've read some time ago which is both witty and thought-provoking:

"The photograph" by Penelope Lively

Let me give you a basic outline of it, so you can determine if such a book is worth your time and energy:

A man is sucked into a vortex of despair after his wife's untimely death. One day, while organizing his wife's goods and chattels, he comes across a photograph which shows his wife holding romantically hands with her sister's husband. He is thunderstruck and immediatelly inclined to believe that there is more than meets the eye about that photograph. His whole view of marriage is challenged as he starts a journey of discovery of his wife "real" personality.

My opinion:

If you are into human relationship books, this is the right book for you with its well-drawn characters. On the other hand, if human relationship novels are your pet aversion, forgo this book.
