speaking

An hour ago Ivana and I started off with our speaking exam preparations. We took some question about love and marriage from the link I've featured under links (speaking) and I must admit that we came along nicely as we are accustomed to speaking to each other. Once we had finished answering the questions, we always drifted on to a new topic thanks to a hint word from our answers.

What's even more important, we've taught each other some new pieces of vocab, like:

a compatible couple- a couple that has a good relationship

counterpart- a person or thing which has the same purpose as another one- The Prime Minister is to meet his European counterparts to discuss the war against drugs.

in vitro fertilisation-IVF- a treatment for a woman that cannot get pregnant naturally in which an egg is fertilized outside her body and the resulting embryo is put into her womb to develop into a baby

Anyway, I would highly recommend to everyone of you to spare an hour and a half a week to practise speaking with your partners. Not only because you then learn how to interact properly with each other, but also because you can help to boost each others' English.
